Crescent Development Baku is mega development in the center of New Baku City, covering land of 600,000 m2 and includes onshore and offshore structures. Offshore structure comprises of The Crescent “La Luna” Hotel, a 27 storey 144m tall crescent-shaped tower with a 5 storey podium structure and 1 level of basement built on an artificial island and surrounded by a crystal clear water lagoon. BUA is around 120,000m2. Structurally, it comprises 2 towers connected with the link bridge at the roof level. With clear span of 90 meters which is supporting 5 hotel levels, hanging off the link-bridge truss. The building is designed as a combination of RC and Steel structure. Main challenge was to design a constructible solution for the link bridge. The hotel is connected with a network of underground tunnels and a bridge to the onshore structures, also designed by us.
